It all started in a dream. One of the highest grossing series of all time, the Twilight saga started in the dreams of author Stephenie Meyer. Stephanie Meyer first dreamed of the famous meadow scene between Bella and Edward that everyone remembers from the movie, Twilight. The Twilight series is comprised of four books. The first book is Twilight, followed by New Moon, Eclipse, and the final book, Breaking Dawn.

The Twilight series started with the book Twilight. In this book, Bella Swan moves to Forks, Washington to live with her father, Charlie. On her first day of school, the other students are eager to make her acquaintance. She then sees Edward and his brothers and sisters walk into the room, and she cannot keep her eyes off of him. Her friend tells her that he does not notice girls, but she is still attracted to him. Bella does not know that Edward is a vampire. The relationship keeps building between Bella and Edward, in part because Edward saves her from a car and always seems to be there when Bella needs him. All of a sudden they admit they are in love, and Edward takes Bella to meet his family.

After meeting Edward’s family, Bella is then chased by a group of vampires that eat humans. One of those vampires is named Victoria. Victoria continues to be a common character in two of the other books in the Twilight series.

The second book in the Twilight series is New Moon. This book starts with Edward leaving Bella, and Jacob is left to pick up the pieces. Bella finds that by doing dangerous things, she can hear Edward in her mind. She decides to buy two motorcycles, and Jacob helps her to fix them up. Jacob and Bella continue to spend a lot of time together, and suddenly Jacob falls in love with her. Then in about the middle of New Moon, Alice comes back to see Bella and tells her that because of her cliff-diving stunt, Edward thinks that Bella is dead. The two of them go to Italy to save Edward from the head group of vampires that live in Italy, because Edward is planning to show himself to the humans, which is not allowed.

The third book in the Twilight series is called Eclipse. This book continues to show the relationship being built between Bella and Edward as well as the rest of the Cullen family. This book is where Victoria plays a very important role.

The last and final book in the Twilight series is called Breaking Dawn. At the beginning of this book, Bella and Edward get married and go on their honeymoon. While on their honeymoon Bella, gets pregnant.

The Twilight series has already been made into three movies; it has not yet been determined whether the fourth and final book will be one or two movies.
